The program was started 35 minutes later than the expected time. Around thirty people had been participated. After the short introduction, specially prepared food was served. The organizing team members and street people had some time to socialize each other for better understanding of life in the street. A Romanian speaking team sang a gospel song and a Romanian brother shared his testimony. During the desert time, Bishnu spoke about his testimony and Gospel of Christ Jesus. According to the participants it was challenging meeting and the message and the purpose of holding the meeting was so clear and direct. Our team members took challenge of listening and sharing with these targeted people and finally praying in group and individual was done.
What a blessed meeting! What a perspective to see towards the beggars of kristiansand city! On the behalf of the whole organizing team, would like to thank all who helped many ways, like preparing food and environments and helping us in practical things.
The first step of our dream to reach street beggars.
Some of the facts which we have discovered.
- They are homeless people in Norway and most of them which are known as Gypsees are from Romania and other are from Bulgaria and other countries of world.
- Most of them have not heard much about Jesus.
- They do not have homes therefore they live under the bridges beside the train station.
- Some of them were physically sick.
- Some got touched with the message and wanted to join the church.
- They do not have bibles with them.
- They are in need of love and care!
