The Bible.. an inductive study!

^{2 Tomothy 3:14-17}

¹⁴ But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, ¹⁵ and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. ¹⁶ All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, ¹⁷ so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

                          Questions for discussions.

· What advice does  Paul give to Timothy to strengthen him in his life and Christian ministry according to these verses?

· For what are the Holy Scriptures useful?

· List out some of the facts of Bible such as, composition, writers, languages and dates, themes etc.

· Why do we call the scriptures “the word of God” ?

                               Application

Read and meditate from Matthew 7:24-29 , ²⁴ “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. ²⁵ The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. ²⁶ But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. ²⁷ The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”  ²⁸ When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at his teaching, ²⁹ because he taught as one who had authority, and not as their teachers of the law.

· How can we establish a habit of regularly reading of the Scriptures?

Prayer: “Dear lord, help us to establish a habit of reading your word daily which is very important to grow spiritually and to be your true disciple. Please help us not to forget you and your word.”
